{frequently asked questions}
Q: Where can I find your patterns?
A: Click on the shop tab to view all available patterns for sale, for charity and for free. See anything you like? Simply click on the pattern’s photo to view the information page for that pattern, including instructions for buying a pattern in the case of a pattern for sale, or for accessing the pattern directly in the case of a charity or free pattern.
Q: How can I buy a pattern?
A: If you see a pattern you like, simply click the “add to cart” button from it’s pattern page to include it in your cart. You can then keep shopping or simply checkout using our secure shopping cart. All of my sale patterns are available as instant pdf downloads. Just follow the prompts from the shopping cart to pay for your pattern using Paypal. As soon as your payment is verified (usually within a few seconds) you will be taken to a thank-you page containing instructions to open or save your new pattern file. The download links and instructions will also be sent to your e-mail if you would prefer to download your file later (or on a different computer ;0) Be sure to save your pattern to a safe place on your computer for keeps. Easy Peasy!
Q: What if I want a kit for your patterns ?
A: Several of my patterns are available as complete kits from Bella Knitting where Laura takes the time to carefully select the best, cooshiest and dreamiest yarns for each pattern and rounds out the kits with any notions required to save you the run around. Check out all the other wonderful patterns in her online shop here.
Q: I bought a pattern but did not receive an e-mail with download instructions. What could be the problem?
A: Your pattern may have been caught by your e-mail server’s spam filter. Check your junk mail to see if your pattern is waiting for you there. If you used an e-check through Paypal as your payment, note that it may take 3-5 days for your check to clear and for the pattern to be e-mailed to you. Still can’t find it? Send me an e-mail at anny@jujubeandlolo.com and I’ll hook you up ;0)
Q: Can I share my new pattern with my knitting friends?
A: Your pattern purchases are for your own use only. You may not forward the file or download links to anyone else. Though please do tell them about Jujube & Lolo so they can check out my patterns for themselves ;0)
Q: Can I give away or sell garments knit from your patterns?
A: You are welcome to knit as many garments or projects from my patterns as you wish and to gift them to every cutie pie you know. You may also knit these for non-profit organisations and for fund-raising activities like school raffles or church bazaars. You may not, however, knit and sell garments or accessories knit from my patterns for profit. If you have any questions about this or are unsure, send me an email at anny@jujubeandlolo.com
Q: What makes your patterns different?
A: My patterns are written a little differently than most and that comes directly from the fact that there are always two little guys in the midst while I knit. Ergo, I need patterns that are easy to follow, include everything I need in one place so I don’t need to look up any techniques, and that will make it easy for me to put it down and pick it up without losing my place or forgetting what size I’m knitting (can’t tell you how often that has happened to me)! In a nutshell, here’s my design philosophy...
Q: Tell me more about the mailing list? What is your privacy policy?
A: Enter your e-mail address in the space provided on our homepage to join the Jujube & Lolo mailing list. The list is opt-in only and is managed by Dreamhost. Upon subscription, you will receive an email message asking you to confirm that you want to join this list. Just click on the link provided to confirm your subscription and that’s all there is to it! Can’t find that e-mail? Check your junk mail filter and then add us to your safe list. An e-mail newsletter will be sent to subscribers as new patterns are released (at most once or twice a month) and subscribers will have an opportunity to unsubscribe each time if you want out. As for our privacy policy, worry not as we will never trade or sell our lists with anyone. Scout’s honour ;0)
Q: What are the conditions of use?
A: All content included on this site, such as text, logos, and images, is © 2007-2008 Jujube & Lolo and Anny Rail and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. All rights reserved.
Q: I am thinking of setting up my own online pattern shop, any resources to share?
A: Sure do! This site was created by my dreamy husband and I. I came up with the design and content and he put it all together using Adobe Dreamweaver. Our site is hosted by Dreamhost which we selected based on their excellent recommendations in the web community and the fact that they are a ‘green host’ (they are carbon neutral for anyone out there who might have seen ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ and was affected like we were). The patterns are served by www.e-junkie.com who also provide our secure shopping cart. As for the design elements: my banner was created by the amazing Krystan whose shop I happened on one fine day while browsing etsy, the background image is from iconistas whom I discovered from deviantart.com, and the picture frames throughout the site are from Ute Hil which I found on istockphoto.com.
